Aromatic Pillows
Whole Earth Herbs aromatic pillows contain Himalayan herbs specially blended to work with the body and restore balance and are based upon ancient healing recipes. While aromatherapy is a relatively new trend, the people of Nepal, Tibet and South Asia have used aromatic herbs as a matter of course for centuries.
From the jungles of the Terai lowland plains, where Lord Buddha was born, to the snowy peaks of Mount Everest and the high Himalayas, Nepal is a treasure trove of plants thriving in microclimates created by the extreme ranges in altitude. Free from pesticides and fortified with natural organic fertilizer, the herbs used in our products are handpicked (usually by women) and brought down from the hillsides to Kathmandu. After drying slowly in the Himalayan sun, the herbs are gently shredded or ground and blended together according to the ancient recipes and traditions of mountain healers, Ayurvedic medicine and Tibetan therapies.
Enclosed in liners and pure dupion silk or Tibetan brocade pillow covers, made by our talented seamstresses, the herbs are then ready to pass on their aromatic qualities to enhance wellbeing.
