Tibetan Hotsprings
According to Tibetan Medical Theory, the human body, as with all things in the universe, is formed from five elements – water, earth, wind, fire and space. When these elements are working in harmony a maximum sense of wellbeing is achieved.
High Himalayan herbs, Juniper, Spikenard, and Cedarwood have been used for centuries throughout the Tibetan plateau and the Himalayas to help balance the wind, fire and water-earth elements within the human body. Tibetans call water-earth ‘Badkan’, fire ‘mKrispa’, and wind ‘rLung’. These elements are similar to the Ayurvedic elements of Kapha, Pitta and Vata.
Spikenard is traditionally used to harmonize rLung, Juniper to harmonize Badkan, and Cedarwood to harmonize mKrispa. These earthy roots, bark and berries also help to balance emotions which, when in excess, can cause illness to the body. Juniper balances ignorance, Spikenard de-stresses the mind and Cedarwood balances greed and anger.
Using these herbs, Whole Earth Herbs has created different therapeutic products to help restore balance to the mind and body. All the Tibetan Hotsprings products are the result of research and experiment and are based on ancient Tibetan rituals and practices.
